Julianne Hough Shares Tear-Jerking Tribute to Her Dogs on 5th Death Anniversary

Julianne Hough recently shared a tear-jerking tribute to her late dogs, Lexi and Harley, on their fifth death anniversary. The “Dancing with the Stars” host shared a look at the intimate funeral she held for the two canines after their tragic passing.

During her appearance on “The Jamie Kern Lima Show,” Hough revealed her pups were killed by coyotes. The actor shared she had the two dogs, who were her kids, for 11 and 8 years. “They were everything to me,” Hough said.

On Sept. 28, Hough took to Instagram to share a touching tribute to Lexi and Harley. The 36-year-old captioned the post, “Hard to believe it’s been 5 years without you in this 3D world.” In the funeral photos, Hough can be seen lying next to her furbabies’ bodies, which were wrapped up in blankets. Next to them was a trail of white rose petals and lavender, including the pups’ collars displayed in remembrance.

The Instagram carousel also included several throwback photos of Hough and her pups as she remembered the previous moments. One of the videos showed Lexi and Harley looking cool as they enjoyed a small toy convertible car ride. Meanwhile, the other snaps saw the canines snuggled up close with the actor.

After losing Lexi and Harley, Hough’s new puppy, Sunny, brought the light back into her life. Earlier this year, the actor celebrated the pup’s first birthday. Hough wrote in an Instagram post, “Sunny, you have brought so much love and literal sunshine in to my life.”

Hough remembered Lexi and Harley and shared they “would have loved and played” with Sunny. She continued, “I know that they sent you to me, only when I was ready to open my heart and love again – you cracked me open sweetheart.”
