Adventure enthusiast and YouTuber Tom Hudson saved a dog stuck under a log. The former was on a solo canoe trip across Canada at the time. After the incident, Tom shared a video of him saving the helpless 14-year-old Great Pyrenees, Ivy, from the side of a river. Ivy had been stuck in the mud for days, unable to move her legs, when Tom rescued her on his canoe. He then took the dog back to her owners, Tom and Janine.

Tom Hudson posted a dramatic video on his YouTube channel What In The World of him rescuing a dog stuck under a log. The dog, a 14-year-old Great Pyrenees named Ivy, had been missing for a couple of days when he found her. Tom, an adventurer, was on a solo canoe trip across Canada when he stumbled upon Ivy. She was stuck in the mud on the side of a river and couldn’t move her legs.
After rescuing Ivy, Tom took her on his canoe, and the two began their journey to find her home. Fortunately, he brought her to the nearest dock, which belonged to Tom and Janine. The owner claimed Ivy had been gone for a couple of days and that had successfully searched for her in the nearby areas.
Tom Hudson explained to the owner how he rescued the shivering dog stuck under a log. He said that he found her half-submerged in water and half in the murder. After reuniting with Ivy, her owners fed her food and water before washing her up. Tom later lent a hand in the proceedings and also met Ivy’s family, including her dog siblings.
When Tom found the dog stuck under the log, he believed she had been there for a couple of days. The YouTuber said the 14-year-old could not have lasted another day if he had not found and saved her. The owners told him their son, who works with horses, would come over to help tidy up Ivy.
The heroic rescue soon made world news. Tom claimed in the video that, luckily, he was at the right place at the right time for his chance encounter with Ivy.
