The 2012 Summer Olympics officially begin this evening and millions will be tuning in to the opening ceremonies in London. But if you’re looking for a great show, complete with muscled athletes and stunning choreography, no need to wait. Kevin Bacon and his Pit Bull Lily perform an amazing feat of synchronized diving. It’s captured on film by Kyra Sedgwick (the demanding coach, I assume).
The spot is less than 30 seconds, but viewers will likely watch more than once to study the dog’s impeccable form and grace. It’s unclear as to whether she’s competed before, as Kevin and Kyra rescued Lily when she was abandoned outside Yankee Stadium at just five months of age. But one thing’s for sure: This vegan loves Bacon.
