Sylvester Stallone is denying allegations that his Rottweiler broke up his marriage — and that’s the doggone truth.

The “Rocky” star responded after the media reported that he split up with his wife of 25 years, Jennifer Flavin, over Dwight, their new Rottweiler. According to US Magazine, Stallone adopted Dwight but Flavin allegedly didn’t want the dog.

Sylvester Stallone’s New Family Member

Stallone shared a video of the new pooch on Instagram on Aug. 5, saying that the Rottie recently joined the family.

“So incredibly happy with my newly acquired four legged friend,” wrote Stallone.  TMZ reported that sources directly connected to the couple said that Sly wanted to get a Rottweiler to protect the family, but that Jennifer didn’t want the dog. This supposedly triggered an argument that eventually led to Flavin filing for divorce. There likely won’t be a custody dispute.

Telltale Tattoo

Flavin filed for divorce on Aug. 19.

TMZ noted that it’s “unclear exactly why she decided to pull the plug on their marriage, but some fans started to sense trouble thanks to a recent tattoo coverup — the “Rocky” star removed an image of Jennifer’s face from his arm.”

Stallone’s publicist told Us Weekly on Aug. 24 that “Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer however the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable.”

And that’s the doggone truth too. The inked image on Stallone’s bicep is his late pup Butkus, the bull mastiff who appeared in “Rocky” and “Rocky II.”

Stallone is not the only famous actor to be a committed dog dad, either. “Captain America” star Chris Evans has spoken about adopting his Boxer, Dodger, and in a recent Buzzfeed video can be seen having the time of his life playing with puppies while answering questions.
