Valid point...animals are animals. If she found a dog in Mumbai then good for the dog and I say kudos to her. Obviously Nick took action when he saw cruelty and for that I commend him. It is nice to see people doing well by animals. Great story Leslie. Thank you for writing it. I agree with you completely on the double standard between Sgt. Nick and Pam Anderson. As an animal lover, and rescuer, I understand that there is just something about looking into that one special animals eyes, and knowing that your life just isn't complete without doing everything in your power to save that one animal. You just gave me a reason to like Pamela Anderson! I didn't hate her before, she's just her and I didn't know anything about her. And since animals know no borders, why should it matter? What matters is that somewhere a dog was saved from cruelty. And yes, there are many dogs and cats in the US who need homes. But does that mean that we should turn a blind eye to the animals outside our borders? I don't think... (continued)

god bless anyone who rescues an animal whether it be here there or anywhere that saves the animal this is why i think we have the best military not only are they brave as hell for doing what most wont but still helps an animal thank you kind sir for your service to our country but also thank you for being a kind enough human to save a dog
