Thinking about fostering an adoptable dog?

Before you start fostering it's also important you have all the necessary supplies. A quick visit to a pet store can get you everything you'll need. I found that out with the first animal I fostered. I had forgotten to get a litterbox! Luckily, it was easily remedied. ( http://aquaworldpittsburgh.com )

Top 10 dog care essentials

I disagree with one thing. Do not ask your vet about what to feed your dog. They are not trained on nutrition. Learn how to read a dog food panel. Compare ingredients. Your local pet supply store should be able to help with this better than your vet. Beware of online oppinions. Remember dog food companies will all tell you that their food is the best. Beniful is a perfect example. The comercials tell you i... (continued)

Embrace your dog, just not literally

I have had dogs in the past that I would agree with the no hugging, but we have a pit bull that, especially with children, actually snuggles up to your chest like he wants you to hug him. I have never had a dog like him other than another pit that we used to have. Is it just the breed? In the wild, puppies and adult dogs ... (continued)

Thinking about fostering an adoptable dog?

I foster for Golden State German shephberd Rescue and support rescues over shelters as they MAY do a better job of checking out the dog's health prior to fostering him out. I adopted a dog from a Pets'Pals. She needed a root canal due to a cracked tooth and heart worm vet care. She''s fine now however. We are lon foster dog #33. bob
