Older cocker eating dirt/mulch and grass
I have a 14 year old spayed female cocker in good health except she has begun eating dirt or mulch? She gets feed regularly with treats so she not starving. We just dont have any idea why she is doing this. Took her to the vet, had blood work done, all came back clean. Just at a loss.

I'm being "shunned" by my dog
My Basenji puppy is acting very fearful around me. He has even bit me aggressively. I have tried to give him love affection and positive reinforcement, with treat and praise but he still try's to avoid me. What am I doing wrong?

Dominance: Dog training's dirty word
My 4 month old black lab has alot of energy. Sometimes, after a walk, during a walk or when just playing in the backyard he will stop, look at me then basically "atttack" me... He jumps up starts biting at me. I have tried the "ignoring" thing and the "rolling on the back and "muzzling" thing as well, he reacts better to the dominance roll. Any suggestions?

Entertainment tips for dogs
That was a nice lecture on who dogs are... but you never once answered the man's question. He obviously already has a dog, so telling him not to get one is late advise, and he obviously cares about his dog because he is taking the time to ask you the question. The proper thing to do would have been to briefly step down from your pedestal and simply respond to his question...

Training a territorial dog
My husband and I have rescued a 10 month old dog about 2 1/2 months ago. He was very timid around us at first, and did not know how to be a pet. Aggressive Pomeranian
Cesar, I have 3 lap dogs that I got as puppies. 8 year old papillon that is 8 lbs, 6 year old papillon that is 16lbs and a 2yr old pomeranian that is 8lbs. in the last few months the pomeranian has started attacking the 8 yr old papillon and the the 6yr old papillon joins in which she has never done anything like that before.
