Mom Fears Dog & Baby Won’t Get Along Until a Plot Twist Takes Her by Surprise

Bringing a newborn home can change everything for a family, and one mom had a very understandable worry: what if her beloved dog and new baby didn’t get along? But her fears quickly disappeared when her gentle black Labrador Retriever, Elvis, began showing the baby just how much love he had to give.

Mom worries dog and baby won’t bond but is instantly proved wrong

The heartwarming moments shared on the dog’s social media account show Elvis carefully meeting the newest member of his family and gradually becoming the sweetest big brother. At first, the family introduced the baby to Elvis slowly. He sat nearby, sniffed her gently, and stayed close. The video asks, “What if they don’t get along…?” But that worry quickly disappeared. Elvis seemed to decide right away that the baby was part of his family.

The Labrador becomes increasingly comfortable around the baby. He sits beside her, leans in to take a closer look, and gently brings his face near hers. In another sweet moment, he rests beside the baby while she lies safely in her parents’ arms.

The family also lets Elvis spend supervised time with the baby on the floor. He gently checks her out while the adults stay close by. The dog eventually becomes so comfortable around the baby that they can relax together. In one sweet moment, the Labrador lies beside the sleeping baby and seems happy to stay close.

The moments come from the Instagram account @elvisbatzthelab, which features Elvis Batz and his life with his family. The profile has grown to around 1 million followers and describes itself as featuring the family’s “cuddle labs.” The account also promotes Spawday every Sunday.

The adorable introduction quickly won over viewers, who were more than happy to watch Elvis shower the baby with affection. One user wrote, “I can’t !!! tooooo adorable.” Another commented, “Dogs are definitely angels without wings.” One viewer called Elvis “the best big brother always,” while another wrote, “All I see are hearts.” Another commenter summed up Elvis’ personality perfectly: “Oh Elvis, you are a real live Angel, you get along with everyone, as you have so much love to give.”
