Leaving a place you enjoy can be difficult, and dogs are no different when they are having a good time. While some pups happily follow their owners home, others need a little extra convincing before they are ready to call it a day. One Corgi named Brady, however, seems to have found his own way of expressing his feelings whenever it’s time to leave the dog park.
Dog dramatically slows his walking pace after realizing his owner is taking him out of the park
Brady the Corgi seems to know exactly what is coming when his owner says it is time to leave the dog park. A video shared by @bradythecorgi captures the pup dramatically slowing his pace as soon as he realizes that his outing is coming to an end.
The clip opens with text reading, “My corgi the second he realizes we’re leaving the dog park.” After his owner tells Brady that they have to go, his walking style changes almost immediately. Rather than following along at his usual pace, he begins moving incredibly slowly, almost as if he is deliberately stretching out the final moments of his visit.
His owner tries to encourage him to keep moving, repeatedly nudging him to pick up the pace. Brady, however, seems completely unbothered. He continues taking slow, deliberate steps as though he has decided there is no reason to rush, even though his owner is clearly ready to leave.
The behavior is apparently nothing new for the Corgi. In the caption accompanying the video, his owner wrote, “He does this every single time.” His reaction also suggests that he has figured out exactly how to communicate when he is not ready for an enjoyable outing to end.
Eventually, his owner finds a much more effective way to convince him to speed up. She pulls out a treat, and Brady immediately changes his mind about taking things slowly. The Corgi quickly picks up the pace after spotting the reward, earning an approving “good boy” from his owner.
The moment did not go unnoticed by viewers, who found Brady’s dramatic behavior both relatable and amusing. One person joked, “Turbo speed for snacs!” Another said, “We can learn from Brady… take our time,” while a third commented, “Him is tired…oh, did you say treat???”
