An emotional video on Instagram showcased a shelter dog named Alabama tucking himself in during a storm and finding all the comfort he needed in a toy. The video has captured the hearts of many online. The caption of the post read, “1 year old Alabama is still there and sadly no one was able to take him home during the storm.” It continued, “But he enjoyed playing with his toys while he rode it out.”
The caption further read, “Alabama is incredibly smart. He knows sit and paw and will do anything for a snack. He’s starting to go downhill at the shelter. He’s not getting enough and is getting frustrated and using his mouth in inappropriate puppy ways to communicate that.” It then revealed, “The sad part is this wasn’t a behavior present when he arrived it has developed due to the kennel stress and shelter environment.”
