Tilly, a bilaterally deaf Dogo Argentino, has a good morning routine inside her home built on touch instead of sound. In an Instagram video shared by @deafdogo, her human shows how she wakes the sleeping pup after coming home. The clip follows Tilly from a quiet bed to a gentle hand on her shoulder. It shows how this hearing-impaired dog understands love without needing a voice, or even a spoken greeting.

Since Tilly cannot hear the arrival, her person reaches out slowly and taps her body with care. The next shots show Tilly awake on a hotel-style bed, but still unaware someone is nearby.

The owner says that when she returns from work, even if Tilly is awake, she has “no clue” her human is there. Nothing changes until a hand lands softly on her shoulder. That small touch becomes the whole greeting. Tilly lifts her head, blinks, and leans toward the hand without fear. Her human does not startle her or rush the moment.
