Human Meets ‘Nervous’ Rescue Puppy Nobody Came For, Shows Exact Moment He Knew He Was Safe

What happens after a human meets a rescue puppy at the shelter? This Instagram video shows how an eight-month-old dog named Pip gets used to a new environment. The clip shows that the pooch is a bit scared and “nervous” when the caretaker approaches him. He tries to back into a corner, but that soon changes. The woman gives the little one all the time in the world to get comfortable with her presence. “Patience and love bring Pip right out of his shell, and now he is happiest living right in the crook of your neck,” the caption reads.

Rescue puppy meets human at the shelter and learns that he’s safe now

In a touching dog video on Instagram, a rescue puppy named Pip takes time to get used to a human’s presence at the shelter. Through on-screen text, the uploader explains how the pooch felt when he arrived at the new place. “Watch a nervous new arrival to the shelter learns that he’s safe,” it reads.

The clip then shows the fur baby sitting in one corner without making any major movements. When the human approaches him, Pip seems to freeze for a few seconds, and he looks slightly scared. The person patiently and gently extends her palm, which the pup sniffs.

“That’s a lot of new and unknowns Pip is going through, so he was understandably shy when he first moved into the shelter. That did not last long,” the caption reads. Later, in the video, it looks like Pip is slowly starting to feel safe and comfortable around the caretaker. She calmly sits near the rescue puppy and lovingly rubs his back and head. Her love seems to make the dog happy as he opens up to her in the end.

The Instagram post has garnered over 3K likes as of writing.
