A volunteer with the Miami-based rescue Saving Sage is asking the public to give a second look to Glen, a 10-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever who is still waiting for his forever home. The video opens with Glen sitting quietly inside a crate that appears much too small for his large frame. Curled up with little room to move, the senior dog waits patiently as the camera focuses on his gentle expression. The text on the screen reveals the heartbreaking reality behind the clip: “Glen is a 10 year old yellow labrador with zero adoption applications.”

The caption accompanying the video offers a simple but powerful reminder of why the rescue refuses to lose hope. “He still has so much love to give,” it reads. Glen’s journey, however, began long before he arrived at the rescue. According to Saving Sage’s Instagram page, he was rescued from a breeding facility after spending his entire life confined to a cage. At 10 years old, he is one of the oldest dogs currently being cared for by the organization.

Years of neglect took a toll on both his health and comfort. The rescue shared that Glen arrived with an eye infection and had developed multiple sores from repeatedly lying on hard flooring. He also suffered from joint problems caused by years without proper nutrition or a supportive place to rest.

Since then, volunteers have worked to help Glen recover, both physically and emotionally. The rescue says he is discovering soft beds, gentle human affection, and a sense of comfort for the very first time. Now, seeing him curled up peacefully on a plush bed has become one of the most heartwarming parts of his transformation.
