A shelter dog named Magic sadly lost the only person she ever knew, her human parent. Now, she has been waiting behind the kennel door for someone to give her a second chance at a happy life. On July 5, @shelterdogstails took to Instagram to share Magic’s heartbreaking story through a video. Since then, it has been garnering a lot of attention from people all around the world. It has gained more than 7K likes on the social media platform so far.
Shelter dog is ‘depressed’ after previous owner makes a difficult choice
A heart-melting video on Instagram captured a dog named Magic feeling “depressed” after her previous owner had no choice but to leave her at a shelter after becoming homeless. The video has been making everyone feel emotional.
Meanwhile, the caption of the post read, “Meet Magic. Thousands of people (3,700+) in Miami-Dade experience homelessness. Some of these thousand are forced to make an impossible choice.” It continued, “Magic’s owner was one of those people. He chose not to abandon her on the side of the road and leave her to fend for herself.”
The caption further read, “Instead, he brought her to the shelter, hoping she would have a chance at the life he could no longer provide. This decision was an act of love.” According to the video’s caption, the shelter dog, Magic, is 7 years old. She is “dog friendly! Low energy and gentle type.” She is currently staying at Miami-Dade Animal Services, 3599 NW 79th Avenue, Doral, FL 33122.

She has clear signs of sadness on her face as she misses her owner. She has been waiting for someone to provide her with a loving home.
