Some people really love saying that dogs and cats never work together in the same house. Meanwhile, Ollie and Cilio are over here proving absolutely everybody wrong without even trying. Ollie, a fluffy Golden Retriever with way too much love to give, somehow turned his skeptical cat brother Cilio into his full-time nap buddy. The video shared by @goldenbearollie starts with total chaos and ends with the dog and cat becoming best friends. At this point, it’s honestly hard to believe these two ever disliked each other at all.

The Instagram reel starts back when Ollie was still a tiny puppy, and Cilio was absolutely not impressed by him. Like most young Goldens, Ollie came in way too excited for a cat who just wanted peace and quiet. The Orange cat was clearly thinking, “Why is this loud, fluffy thing bouncing at me?” and threw some paw slaps when the bouncy puppy lunged forward. Eventually, the grumpy cat had had enough and just walked away from the whole situation. Back then, warnings claimed a dog and a cat could never be friends.
These days, the two of them act like they’ve been attached at the hip forever, and the warnings seem to be a thing of the past. After that, the video turns into clip after clip of them sleeping together all over the house. At one point, Cilio is literally stretched across Ollie’s back while their mom pets them on the couch.
One clip even shows Ollie casually throwing a paw over Cilio while they nap together. Later, the cat sits directly under the pup’s chin, rubbing his face affectionately. They nap everywhere together, from the living room rug to their mom’s legs. The former even uses the cat’s soft belly as a pillow during afternoon snoozes.
As of the time of writing, the video pulled in more than 33.4k likes, and the comment section makes total sense. Fans are going gaga over the duo, with one person commenting that their relationship is total goals. Another viewer joked that the cat clearly thinks he is a pup, perfectly matching the owner’s caption about proving everyone wrong. Defying expectations has never looked so completely cozy.
