Scientists believe dogs do dream, which explains why nap time can sometimes be just as entertaining as playtime. A video on Instagram gave viewers another reason to obsess over sleeping dogs after a Chow Chow named Leorry was filmed making the sweetest little noises while dreaming.

The clip, posted by @leorrysorghee.chows, shows Leorry fast asleep, quietly making soft noises that sound similar to tiny muffled barks. Even though his mouth stays closed, the sounds can still be heard clearly as he sleeps peacefully on the floor.
The moment quickly stood out because of how rare the behavior apparently is for the dog. Alongside the video, the owner wrote, “He barks so little that one of the only times he barks is in his sleep.” They also added on-screen text asking viewers, “What do we think he’s dreaming about?”
That question prompted plenty of responses from viewers, many of whom came up with playful ideas about what could have been happening in Leorry’s dream. One commenter joked, “Since it’s a chowchow, he’s probably dreaming about that solid nap he took yesterday.”
Others focused on how cute dogs can look while dreaming. “They are the cutest sleep dreamers,” one person commented. Meanwhile, another guessed the pup was probably dreaming about “sniffing grass in the park.”
