You obviously need help setting up a new piece of furniture, but this Golden Retriever seems to think head scratches are equally important parts of the process. A pair of delivery guys recently visited Melanie Joy’s home to assemble a dining table. According to her bio, Melanie lives in Indianapolis with four therapy dogs named Archie, Oakley, Winston, and Gus. One of these boys decided the workers needed a “snoopervisor.” The clip has already pulled in over 39k likes in a single day because the whole interaction feels so wholesome. Nobody looks annoyed, and the dog looks extremely proud of himself.
Golden Retriever wants to help delivery guys set up table, but instead gets endless pets
The video opens in the dining room, where the crew is busy with instruction manuals. Instead of giving them space, the Golden Retriever crawls directly under the table to offer his help. He stays right in the middle of the action while one man tries to figure out the assembly. As it happens, the worker stops to give the dog a few head scratches. It is a hilarious sight to see the dog sitting exactly where the space should be empty.
The sweet worker seems to have no trouble with the fuzzy obstacle. When one of the delivery guys stands up to check his phone, the dog scoots even closer. He practically sits on the man’s feet just to ensure the pets do not stop. He stays there even when the man has to kneel for some troubleshooting.
This breed is famously social and simply cannot stand being left out of a project, so the furball looks up, tail wagging excitedly, while the man talks on the phone. He is clearly waiting for the next round of attention. Once he realizes the first worker is busy, he moves over to the second man for more attention. This person is lying on the floor, tightening bolts, but finds time for a quick pat.
Viewers in the comments are calling him the best helper anyone could ask for. It is safe to say these workers officially passed the house dog test. One fan even noted that this would be their favorite part of the job. The final inspection is complete, and the table is officially golden-approved.
