In the video, the Golden Retriever’s dad is lounging on the couch with a full bowl of yogurt — notably, the pup’s absolute “favorite snack” — and decides to close his eyes to see what happens. The best part of the video is how hard Zuko tries to be a good boy before completely giving in.
As his dad sits there pretending to doze off, Zuko slowly inches closer to inspect the situation, sniffing right up to his owner’s face and gently licking near his mouth — as if he is checking to see if his human has some leftover yogurt on his chin.
When his dad does not wake up, Zuko takes a tiny step back. But he refuses to look away from the prize — a struggle that is visible on the pup’s face as he patiently waits beside his human.
The puppy then whines a little, which is imperative given his moral dilemma. But after just a few seconds of trying to control himself, the pup decides he has waited long enough, dipping his tongue into the bowl and rejoicing in the treat with “no regrets.”
The caption under the video jokes, “He tried so hard to resist but had to give in,” and that is all okay, because why would the Golden Retriever let a perfectly good bowl of yogurt go to waste?
