Once they are awake, everyone else in the house usually is too. That reality played out in a hilarious Instagram video showing a dog named Pork and his dramatic wake-up call.
Dog’s hilarious wake-up call method probably works everytime
The video, posted by user @iamkilothestaffy, features a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who clearly takes mornings very seriously. As his owner lies in bed trying to rest, Pork sits close beside them and begins making a steady stream of dramatic noises in an attempt to wake them up.
At first, the dog can be heard grunting repeatedly while staring directly at his owner. When that does not appear to work well enough, he adds short barks and louder snorts into the mix. The longer his owner stays in bed, the more persistent the performance becomes.
The owner jokingly described the routine as the “pink pork wake up call,” a nickname viewers quickly found fitting. Pork’s loud personality and expressive behavior seemed to match his name perfectly, especially as he continued demanding attention without any sign of giving up.
The clip quickly gained traction online, with many viewers saying the dog’s method looked impossible to ignore. One person commented, “I wish I had that alarm clock,” while another joked, “i am in need of a pork wake up call. STAT.” Others focused on the dog’s attitude throughout the video, with one viewer summing it up by writing, “The porkatude.”
Some commenters also imagined what might have been going through the Staffy’s mind during the wake-up attempt. “He said it’s 8:01am and you’re late by a minute for breakfast,” one user wrote. Judging by Pork’s persistence, sleeping through this particular wake-up call does not seem like an option.
