Three very well-rested dogs are making people laugh after their owner imagined what their careers would be based solely on how they nap. In a hilarious Instagram video from @threegoldiesonepyr, three Golden Retrievers and one Great Pyrenees are shown deeply committed to their sleeping positions, each paired with a made-up career title that fits a little too well. The on-screen caption reads, “my dogs’ careers based on how they sleep…” and the joke keeps going right from the beginning.

All three dogs in the video have unique sleeping positions, and their owner knows which career would suit each of them. They introduce Holly, a Golden Retriever, as “unemployed, lives in grandma’s basement” while she is sleeping upside down on the couch with her teeth showing, like someone who has absolutely no care in the world.
Meanwhile, Skye, they label Great Pyrenees, as “union security guard, overnight shift,” as she stretches across the couch in a pose that looks like she is on duty. Then there is Rocky, another Golden Retriever, passed out belly-up in his bed as “frat boy, on spring break.” And it feels painfully accurate.
Next, the owner describes Sandy as “mom of 3, mentally in Cabo,” lying on the floor while a puppy rests against her, and Sandy has clearly accepted her fate as the mother of the group. Holly makes a second appearance in perhaps the funniest scene of all, asleep right on top of the dining table as “CEO’s daughter, never works.”
That last sleeping position seemed to be a favorite with viewers. One viewer highlighted, “Holly on the table,” while another said, “Omg the sleeping on the table…,” as others had their own standout moments, including “Skye’s leg got me,” and “Sandy reminds me of the mom just trying to find some peace and quiet in the bathroom.”
And the owner’s caption, “Glad everyone found their true calling,” fits the video perfectly — all four dogs really seem to have pretty bright careers.
