The footage shows the poor girl curled up in a tight ball on her bed. She looks so unsure of the noisy world around her. At one point, she wiggles her nose while looking directly into the camera, her eyes unhappy. There are a few toys and chews sitting in the corner of her kennel, but she doesn’t seem interested in them at all. She is just busy processing a lot of big emotions.
It is truly devastating to see those sad eyes as she waits for someone to notice her. Staff members mention that she is quite depressed and petrified inside her cage. However, her true personality starts to peek out once she gets into the grass. She actually trusts a few specific people and even rolls around for some belly rubs.
Most dogs are incredibly attached to their humans, so losing her lifelong partner has hit her so hard. She is already potty-trained and has a great history with kids. She just prefers to be the only pet in the house. One viewer noted that nobody should judge a pup by how they act in a kennel, as they need a few weeks to feel safe before their true self returns.
