Corgis See Right Through Owner’s Lies About Getting Ice Cream

Lying to your furry companion is never easy. Somehow, they always sense when their parents are lying through their teeth. Similarly, this video is about two Corgis who know their owner is going to get ice cream, despite his saying otherwise. Their interaction won hearts online as the reel has garnered more than 1K likes, as of the time of writing.

Corgis always know when owner is going to get ice cream

The two Ohio Pembroke Welsh Corgis, named Nola and Hashbrown, are smart pups. They can easily detect when they are being lied to. Case in point, this video on @nolathenoblecorgi shows how easily the dogs catch the lie of their owner and make him confess the truth with no effort.

Before heading out, the dad tells his pups that he promises that “we’re not going to get ice cream.” He even swears that he is just heading out, taking a “drive down the road.” However, his statement does not convince the pooches as they stare at him, as if judging the dad. Despite this, the parent continues, saying that “We’re not going to stop and get ice cream. You guys will be fine here by yourselves.” However, Hashbrown senses something is fishy, and dad is lying to them as he looks at the owner with disappointment.

Seeing his look, the dad knows the pup doesn’t believe him. So, finally, he confesses the truth, saying, “Alright. Fine. We’re going to get ice cream.” The pet parent then tries to make the atmosphere more amicable by promising them “whipped cream.” “These two absolutely know when it’s time for the weekly ice cream trip… we’re not fooling anyone,” the parent mentioned in the caption after realising that his Corgis can now easily detect his lie.

And looking at their reaction, the netizens were instantly smitten by the canines, as a person voiced for one of the pups, saying, “You: I promise we’re not going to get ice cream. Hashbrown: Look me in the eyes when you say that!” Another individual commented, “Ice cream vs whipped cream. Nola said they aren’t the same!”
