Dog Realizes She Forgot Her Toy While Watching Cartoon & Runs To Fetch It

Morning routines at @lordhave_marcy are sacred, and this new video proves exactly why. Marcy is a clever little dog who apparently cannot focus on her favorite cartoon without her emotional support toy in her mouth. Because she is a Jack Russell Terrier, she is both incredibly bright and very set in her ways. The second she sees mom pick up the remote, she is ready for action. But she isn’t just there for the sounds and sights; she needs the full sensorial experience.

Video proves this dog cannot watch cartoon without her toy

The first frame of the video shows her mom reaching for the remote with the in-video text asking, “Too early for cartoons?” And right in the next shot, we see Marcy running into the room. She jumps onto the couch to claim her spot while Mom starts browsing for her favorite show, Bluey. Marcy gets so excited that she jumps back down and starts bouncing near the TV console. It is basically a pre-show dance.

Marcy comes back up on the couch, but then she freezes. She realizes she is missing her favorite toy. The pup does a quick scan all over the couch and even comes up to Mom to check under her blanket for it.

Mom finally asks where it is, and this dog flies off the furniture to go look for it. Mom follows her as she finds her plushie and runs right back. Toy secured, she jumps up on the couch to her favorite viewing spot and then looks at her mom like she is giving orders to “resume.” She holds her toy tight in her mouth and is finally ready to enjoy her cartoon.

Later, her eyes start to get heavy while she is still holding the plushie. And she is definitely losing the battle with sleep. The in-video text says it might be too early for cartoons for her. Over 30k people loved her little routine, with viewers sharing their dogs’ favorite TV shows and TV rituals in the comments.
