Lunch plans were simple…until they weren’t. Over on @hogan_sunny_therapydogs, this reel starts at a diner where Hogan is technically with his mom, behaving as he should. He is a professional therapy dog in LA, actually, but even the best employees have a weakness. This video shows the Golden Retriever completely ignoring his mom while she orders lunch. Instead, he is making eyes at a couple sitting nearby.
Being a Golden, he basically considers every stranger a potential best friend and snack source, and he has officially decided that their date needs a third wheel.
Golden Retriever crashes couple’s date but is well fed
The clip starts with Hogan facing away from his owner. He is staring directly at a man eating his meal, and the on-screen text informs us that he has decided to join someone else’s date. The man looks around to see if anyone is watching. He thinks he is being very sneaky and quickly tosses a small bite of food to the floor, and Hogan catches it immediately. They both look away and pretend nothing happened in a very coordinated effort.
The man starts talking to his partner again. However, Hogan moves even closer to the table and is now sitting right next to them. Another piece of food magically disappears from the plate and lands on the floor. The Golden Retriever’s mom says in the caption that she kept feeling the leash move while she was ordering, so she turned her phone around and caught the whole thing on video.
The man, for his part, keeps rolling bits of bread off the table and acts like they are falling by accident. One fan said Hogan knows who the weakest link is. Another suggested the food is just very slippery, and Hogan is just there to help.
A user guessed that this pup must’ve really made that man’s day. The video ends with the two of them acting like best friends and chatting.
