If you thought only cats were flexible enough to slink through tiny gaps, this video of a puppy named Ranger is going to prove you wrong. She is on a 24/7 mission to climb through every open window in her house in South Africa. Her mom at @all.about.storm finally caught the whole heist on camera. Ranger is a young Belgian Malinois, and she apparently doesn’t believe in using actual doors. She is undergoing training, but she clearly has her own ideas about physics.
Video shows puppy climbing through a tiny open window
The footage starts with Ranger standing on the other side of the window. There are slats across it to prevent something like this, but she really doesn’t care about rules. She shoves her head through the tiny gap. Her neck makes it, but her body is just too big right now. Then she tries to use her back legs for some extra leverage, but it is not working. So, she pulls back to think.
She looks away to strategize, and then she lets out a loud whine, apparently at the window. She even starts biting the bars in utter frustration. Next, she tries a different angle. One of her Australian Shepherd siblings walks past to check the situation. And maybe that was the motivation she needed. She goes for it again; her front legs are through this time. She is basically lying on her side over the ledge.
Eventually, she takes one last big push with her hind legs, and she is through. She just casually walks over to join her siblings like nothing even happened. It is the most Malinois thing ever. One commenter said she must have some cat in her.
Her owner says she just can’t be tamed. If a window is open, the puppy will find a way to climb it, as we evidently see in the video. It has over 4k likes in just a day, and viewers are obsessed with her steadfastness. Another fan mentioned that female Belgians are just built differently. Watching a puppy squeeze through that space is actually impressive, and we are just lucky the video was rolling.
