This Golden Retriever Was Spooked by a Flying Leaf

Pet parents must have often noticed how their fur babies get scared of small things. This Instagram video shows a Golden Retriever named Mahi being spooked by a flying leaf. The clip shows the pet coming out of the house with his dog dad for a walk. As he steps down the stairs, the dog notices a big “hydrangea leaf.” Due to the wind, it moves, which startles the fur baby. Mahi jumps and hides behind his human, who later grabs the leaf to show it to the dog. While the viral video appears funny, the caption is better.

Golden Retriever just couldn’t handle a flying leaf in viral video

In a hilarious dog video on Instagram, a Golden Retriever named Mahi cannot handle a flying “monster” leaf. The street camera footage shows the fur baby getting spooked by a hydrangea leaf. When he comes out of the house with his owner, he notices the object. Mahi becomes curious and gets closer to it.

At the very moment, the leaf starts moving at speed because of the wind. As it moves towards Mahi, he gets startled and jumps back. He rushes behind his dog dad, who later picks up the leaf and shows it to the pet.

Meanwhile, in the lengthy caption, Mahi tells the story from his point of view. “I need everyone to stay calm because I… barely survived an attack today. I was outside, minding my OWN business, doing my usual patrol of the yard, when suddenly—IT APPEARED.” He then called the hydrangea leaf “monster,” which seemed to possess “demonic energy.”

After narrating his “heroic” tale, he expressed his disappointment towards his owner, who seemingly “laughed” at him. In the end, it read, “Anyway, I’m safe now. But if you don’t hear from me again… tell people I went down fighting. Against the hydrangea leaf monster.” Furthermore, viewers have dropped laughing emojis and funny reactions in the comments. Additionally, the Golden Retriever leaf video has received over 57K likes at the time of writing.
