Video: Golden Retriever Goes Straight to Baby Who Is Learning to Stand

Dogs are the best babysitters and caregivers one can ask for. However, every pet parent will admit they are good at judging their owners, too, especially their parenting skills. This video is about one such Golden Retriever who goes and stands next to the baby after disproving the mom’s parenting style. The video of the dog and the baby has been loved by many, amassing more than 1K likes at the time of writing.

Golden Retriever stands next to baby while she learns how to stand

This Golden Retriever named Toffee is one gentle and caring pup. However, she is also good at judging her human companion for her parenting skills, and this video of the dog and the baby on @talesoftoffee1 is a perfect example of it.

The clip shows Toffee sitting next to the table where her parent was “trying to help the baby learn to stand,” much to the pup’s disappointment. Looking at how the mom allowed the few-month-old baby to stand by herself, the pooch instantly reacted to the situation with “disapproving eyebrows.”

She even gives the parent a “glare of disapproval” before “getting up” and sitting behind the little human sibling to protect her from a fall. After this, the pooch gives a “final warning” to the mother to move the baby, making the mom feel like “nothing humbles you like a dog judging your parenting.”

And that was not all. The mom is also certain that since the “safety Inspector (with paws) has some serious concerns about your technique,” her “parenting performance review is coming back with ‘needs improvement.'” But the whole experience makes her question, “Who’s really in charge here?”

Looking at the clip, many pet parents shared similar experiences with their pup, but some called Toffee’s action an act of “True love and care.” A person also called the Golden Retriever a “Bodyguard!!”
