Video: Golden Retriever’s Snow Boots Fly Seconds After He Enters the Ice Rink

Putting shoes on a dog is usually a 10-minute wrestling match that ends in a lot of heavy breathing. But the Milwaukee Admirals at @mkeadmirals decided to try it anyway because a commenter suggested it. They usually post hockey content for their 44.5k followers, but this video shows their resident Golden Retriever stepping out onto the ice rink to test his new gear. He looks very professional as he walks past the benches. And the pup is clearly ready for work. This dog is just waiting for the puck to drop so he can start his shift. What follows is a hilarious experiment gone wrong.

Golden Retriever’s snow boots fly off as soon as he enters the ice rink

In the video, we see the Golden Retriever spotting the puck on the ice rink, and the chase is officially on. However, his feet have other plans. As soon as he starts running, all four snow boots fly off his paws at the same time. That was a total “synchronized sock yeeting” moment, as someone in the comments called it. You actually need the slow-motion replay of this video to believe it.

One second, he is wearing gear. And the next second, he is barefoot and flying. That scene looked like he just pulled a “Forest Gump” and ran out of his restraints. The boots just land on the ice in different corners behind him. This furball does not care even a little bit. He is only focused on that puck.

He keeps right on going while the human who was filming laughs in the background. Someone in the comments said the gloves are off and he is ready to fight now. That is pure hockey energy. Maybe this dog is much faster without the extra weight on his paws.

Someone even mentioned that this Golden Retriever needs to be in front of Jacob Tierney for the role of Anya in the hit sports romance series, Heated Rivalry. It is clear that this dog belongs in a world of pucks and drama at the ice rink. One fan joked that he was just cutting loose and kicking off his Sunday shoes (from the famous Kenny Loggins song). But really, he just wanted to chase and retrieve that puck.
