There’s never a dull moment when you live with three dogs, but then you add a tiny human to the mix, and it gets even better. Henry is a chocolate pup from @mookieandbennieandhenry. And he is currently obsessing over a new friend. This video of the Labrador and the baby shows a very specific type of excitement when each realizes the other is their friend. It is the kind where a big dog tries to stay small. Just to be on the same level. Callen is trying to crawl. And Henry is just moving with a lot of energy right in front of and around him.
Labrador runs around baby hoping they can play together
When the video opens, we see Callen on the living room floor, mid crawl. And Henry is right there in front of him. He drops into a deep play bow. His head is almost at the exact same height as the little one. What’s a friendship if you can’t see them face to face? Then the excitement gets too much for him, and he gets up to take a lap around the baby.
He stops to stand behind the tiny human, his wagging tail just proves how happy he is in the moment. In fact, his whole back half is wagging. He leans in to sniff the kid’s back, but it is all very gentle, like he is checking to see if the human is ready to go. “Let’s just say that Henry & Callen were fast friends – just wait until he can walk lol!” the owner said in the caption. And it is true.
This Labrador really loves his baby brother. He sniffs his face when Callen looks up. Then he walks around to the front and drops into another play bow. He is trying so hard to start a game. Even though the kid is still figuring out how legs work. Someone in the comments even joked that the dog is teaching him how to move.
Henry eventually notices the camera is rolling and runs straight toward the person filming. This breed is basically built for this. They are huge and goofy. But they are also very soft when they need to be. The clip already has over 2.4k likes. People are calling the whole thing adorable. It is just the sweetest video of a Labrador and a baby.
