Video: This Is What Happens When Dog Tries To Form a Thought

Most pet parents are used to their furry BFF’s unique set of quirks. But Buddy is currently going viral for a very specific head move. His account @nalabance shows him sitting in a living room. There are framed photos of him and his sister and a basket of overflowing toys.

This video shows us what happens when the dog actually tries to form a single thought. It involves a lot of slow-motion lifting of the head. The Golden Retriever just sits there by his bed, and then his chin starts to move upwards. It is the funniest thing to watch.

Owner captures dog’s cute trait when trying to form a thought

In the video, Buddy is sitting perfectly still in the middle of the room. But then his nose begins to lift toward the ceiling. It happens so slowly. “It’s like he’s trying to find his thoughts,” his owner said. He gets halfway there, and then he just loses it.

He gets distracted by something across the room, so he has to look away and reset. The text on the screen says he lost his thought right there. He has to start the whole process over, and the classical music playing in the background makes it ten times funnier.

He tries a second time. His chin is parallel to the floor again, but it starts rising up slowly. But his brain just seems to stop. He gives up. Then he tries a third time. Third time is usually the charm, as the in-video text reminds us. But not for Bud, as this attempt is even shorter.

Frustrated, he simply looks at his human sitting on the couch, and then he just stops. It looks like he’s completely given up on thinking for the day. So he gets up and moves away. The clip has over 4K likes, and people are finding it too funny.

One person joked that they always think it is a ghost when pets do that. Another fan said their Berner does the exact same thing. “I love the accuracy,” someone else wrote. It is just a very “funny and cute” trait. This video of the dog trying to catch a thought out of the air is pure comedy.
