A video shared on Instagram by user @gamjamypotato features a Golden Retriever named Chip, who leaves no room for doubt when asked about his Valentine. The clip opens with his owner casually asking him who his Valentine is. Without hesitation, Chip walks over and sits beside Gamja, his Golden Retriever sister, who is resting just behind him.
To make sure it wasn’t a coincidence, the owner repeats the question. This time, Chip strengthens his response by wrapping his paws around Gamja in what looks like a warm hug. When asked yet again, he gently rests his head on hers, a gesture could be interpreted as affection and certainty.
The playful moment continues when the owner asks Chip to give Gamja a kiss. The command seems to confuse him, and instead of a gentle peck, he leans his full weight onto her. Laughing, the owner checks if Gamja is okay as the two dogs remain calmly close to each other.
In another part of the video, the owner repeats the question once more, this time with both dogs sitting side by side. Chip immediately hugs Gamja from the side, reinforcing his earlier decision.
When the owner turns the question toward Gamja and asks if Chip is her Valentine, she simply stares ahead without reacting, adding a humorous contrast to his enthusiasm. The caption accompanying the post reads, “I swear they understand everything.”
