Rassie really doesn’t care about the “no outside toys in the house” rule when he finds a piece of wood that speaks to his soul. This South African pup is a total character over at @rassiethegsd. He was diagnosed with a spinal deformity called LTV and some hip issues early on. But you’d never guess it by the way he moves. A new video shows the German Shepherd Dog successfully smuggling a massive, crooked branch into the living room. And then he breaks into a full-blown interpretive dance because his body can’t contain so much joy.

The branch itself is pretty strange-looking. It’s long and crooked with a random right-angle bend at the end. But Rassie loves it. He starts shaking his head from side to side and stepping forward in this rhythmic way that actually looks like a rehearsed routine.
In the video, the German Shepherd Dog does this dance with so much passion that he ignores a perfectly good orange ball sitting by the stairs. “It has to be inside, or it’s just not the same,” his owner wrote. She adds that he is obsessed with sticks of all sizes. And it shows.
The clip has already racked up nearly 50,000 likes. People are totally losing it over how he stays perfectly on the beat. One viewer joked that he is telling the story of finding the branch through movement. Another person said they’d watch a 10/10 performance like this again. It’s honestly spellbinding to see.
German Shepherds are usually so focused and serious. But Rassie is out here proving they have a real artistic side too. Someone even commented that his human should just let him go to art school already. It’s just really good to see him having so much fun. Especially knowing he’s dealing with those hip and back challenges. “Support the arts. Save the stick,” one fan wrote. True that.
