There are two types of people. The ones who install a pet camera for “peace of mind.” And the ones who check it 47 times a day. Over on @nylah_the_bluestaffy, this dog camera clip feels relatable.
Nylah is a blue Staffy from Melbourne who has mastered the art of doing absolutely nothing. And every single time her mom pulls up the camera feed, she sees the exact same thing. This dog is just deeply committed to her sleep schedule. A new video is a montage of these check-ins, basically just a highlight reel of different nap positions.
Dog likes to sleep on the bed most of the time
The clip starts with Nylah on the big bed, doing one of those massive, full-body stretches that look incredibly satisfying. “POV whenever I check the cameras to make sure she is ok,” the text on the screen says. And then it just becomes a series of clips of her out cold. Sometimes she is buried behind the pillows. Other times, she’s hanging her head off the foot of the bed.
This breed is known for being super affectionate and “velcro-like” when people are around. So it makes total sense that the dog uses this alone time to recharge before her human gets back. The camera caught her on the couch cushions and even tucked under the covers.
“Always sleeping, I want her life,” her mom joked in the caption. As we see via the camera, the bedsheets in the video change, but the dog stays right in the center of the frame. The post got over 8,000 likes in less than a day.
One person commented that she is just “charging the battery” for when mom walks through the door. Another viewer mentioned their own pet is a terrible burglar alarm because they won’t even move for a knock, but they know the exact sound of the car pulling up.
But for now, Nylah is just busy being a professional sleeper. She moves from the bedroom to the living room couch and back again. One fan even joked that she clearly needs more pillows. It truly is a good life.
