Daycare pickup is usually the loudest part of anyone’s afternoon. Naddy Light is a Bernese Mountain Dog with a lot of feelings and a tail that just won’t quit. She is a rescue pup who has already been through a lot, including hip surgery, so seeing her move this fast is actually pretty amazing.
Her mom over at @naddylightberner recently shared a clip of the end-of-day rush. The video starts with a shut door that literally says, “Employee only area.” And then you see her. Naddy comes flying out of a room at the end of the hall. She spots her owner and immediately loses her mind.
Dog can’t get past the door to greet owner and so, does this
In the video, after running and even slipping slightly in the process, the dog reaches the door and starts booping the wood with her entire body to get to her owner. She is jumping up and down like a pogo stick. It is so funny because you just see her head popping up and down behind the glass. She is pawing at the door and desperately trying to find a way through.
This pup clearly doesn’t want to spend another second away from her owner in the video. “Best part of my day,” her human wrote in the caption. And it is easy to see why. But the door stays shut for a few more seconds. Naddy just keeps bouncing. Bernese Mountain Dogs are known for being total “velcro” pets, so they really do feel that separation.
She doesn’t stop until a staff member finally walks up to the doorknob. In the video, the dog gives one last huge leap as the door finally starts to click open for her owner. Someone in the comments joked that this is just “Classical Berner” behavior. Another mentioned that they thought their own pet was the only one who overreacted like this.
Over 1,300 people have liked the post already. The energy is just so infectious. One fan said they love how Naddy tries to “barge” through the door every single time. The clip ends right as she is about to burst through to the other side. You can only imagine the amount of licks and furry hugs that happened once that door actually opened.
