Dog ‘Actively’ Ignores Owner in Hilarious Video

Ranger is currently making a very strong case for being the most dramatic member of his household. He is a Husky living that SoCal life with his crew at @sassyhuskies, and he clearly picked up some bad habits from his sister Eva. You might remember her famous pet store tantrums. Well, now it’s Ranger’s turn to be difficult. A new video shows the dog sitting near a fence, but he is working overtime to ignore his owner entirely. He is literally tilting his nose up at the sky and looking in every single direction except at the camera.

Dog won’t look at owner in hilarious video

The reason for all this attitude is that he got caught somewhere he shouldn’t be. “You know you’re not supposed to be out here at the swamp,” his mom tells him in the video. She pans the camera over to show a very muddy, tempting swamp area that is definitely off-limits. Ranger just keeps his head tilted back. He’s acting like he can’t hear a word she’s saying.

This breed is pretty famous for being stubborn and vocal, but Ranger is choosing the silent treatment instead. “Ranger is learning from Eva,” the caption notes, and the influence is pretty obvious. But then he finally cracks. When his mom calls his name again, he makes eye contact for just a split second.

He looks incredibly guilty before immediately looking away again. It is like he knows he’s busted, but he isn’t ready to admit it yet. And then the camera pans over to show Eva and Ghost. They are caught trying to sneakily slink away from the crime scene like total traitors. Mom catches them, too, and they look just as busted as Ranger does.

The post got over 5,500 likes in just twelve hours. People in the comments are losing it over his “nose in the air” technique. One viewer of the video said that the dog was just “stretching” while totally ignoring his owner. Another fan pointed out that all bets are off when mud puddles are involved. Ranger eventually looks toward his siblings as they ditch him, probably wondering why he’s the only one still getting lectured.
