Video: Rescue Pup With a Dark Past Is Now Safe in Dad’s Arms

It is a lot to watch a dog finally realize that humans are actually okay. Beverly spent her whole life in a cage just for breeding until she was no longer useful. That is a heavy start. But now she lives with Lindsay from @pardonthyfrench, and her life is very different.

This French Bulldog has a thick build and those large ears, and she uses them to find the comfiest spot in the room. This video shows that today, that is her dad’s chest. You can see her realise that it’s more than okay to get all the attention and all the love. This pup is learning how to be part of a family.

Rescue pup crawls on dad looking for a cuddle spot

The footage starts with her right on her dad’s chest while he is on the sofa. She is not staying still. She is climbing up his shirt to get near his face and starts kissing him. It makes him laugh because she is hitting the ticklish spots. But she keeps going. She really wants to be close to him. One person in the comments said, “This is why we rescue!! Because they need this love too!” And they are right.

Billie is hanging out nearby, too. The camera shows the Frenchie sibling for a second, then returns to the snuggle. Bev decides that being near his face is not enough, and she actually stretches out and lies right across her dad’s neck. Her face is calm and content. You can tell that she feels safe. This is a huge change for a dog who used to live in a cage.

The text in the clip says she was used for breeding and never had a home. “Dumped when her uterus prolapsed and she was no longer ‘useful,’ our sweet Beverly is now learning to trust love and comes out of her shell more every day,” Lindsay shared. And you can see her trusting them. She is very attached to her dad. There are other clips on the feed showing her getting better.

It is just so good to see. Beverly went from being ignored to being the center of the room. And she definitely likes her human’s embrace more than she did in her old life. Anyone would.
