You know you are loved when a dog goes to extreme lengths to be able to be close to you. Kara McInally (@karamcinally), who usually spends her time on foodie challenges and “intentional mom things” in Florida, realizes this in the sweetest way. In the video, we see her little dog decide to use a blanket to his advantage. For this French Bulldog, the distance between the couch and the kitchen is simply unacceptable. It’s the ultimate “velcro dog” move.
Frenchie drags blanket so he can spend time with mom in the kitchen
The video shows the dog really put his back into dragging the blanket. His tiny legs work overtime as he hauls that heavy fabric across the floor. Then he actually takes a second to spread it out into the perfect shape. Only then does he think about sitting down. He looks up at Kara just to confirm she hasn’t moved an inch while she’s working at her computer. You can tell he’s completely obsessed with being her shadow.
His Goldendoodle brother Leo also wanders in to check out the new portable bed. He gives it a thorough sniff. Maybe he’s wondering if there’s a spare corner for him, too? But the little guy is already zonked. Then the footage cuts to him sleeping peacefully, totally content because he knows his mom is within arm’s reach. As one viewer pointed out, Frenchies have this intense need to be right on top of their family, especially mom.
The comment section is full of people who totally get the struggle. One person joked about their own “fluffy potato” wedging behind their back in an office chair, leaving them with zero room. Another looks down to find a pile of toys and blankets at their feet every single day. These dogs don’t care if they’re in the way. They just want to be involved in whatever you’re doing.
Honestly, there are worse things than having a dedicated bodyguard who brings his own furniture to the kitchen. It’s just their world. We’re just the ones with the computers and the treats.
