Goldendoodle’s Stares Intensify With Every Shot in Funny Video

Goldendoodles have a reputation for looking sweet and harmless, but a video from @ybbapayne on Instagram says that Teddy missed that memo. In the hilarious clip, the pup stars in a mini compilation of intense, silent stares that somehow get more dramatic with every clip.

The owner even joked in the onscreen text, writing, “Editing my dog’s life like a horror movie as a joke but now I’m kinda scared.” In the caption, they doubled down with a simple question: “Should I sleep with one eye open…..?”

Goldendoodle can’t stop staring from a distance in hilarious video

The Goldendoodle’s video plays like a trailer for a horror movie. In the first clip, Teddy sits on a sandy beach, staring straight ahead as if he is guarding a dark secret. In another, he stands near a front door, watching from a distance with that same locked-in look.

There’s also a moment where he looks soaked and serious, plus an indoor footage where he stands near a toy with his eyes fixed on his human. In each of the scenes, he looks like he is planning something villainous.

Teddy is probably staring at his owner to communicate. Sometimes it means, “Play with me,” while it could also mean, “I want a snack,” — and viewers loved every bit of the dog’s expressions as well as the “spooky” edit. They also offered some explanation.

One viewer joked, “The angry stare + tail wag – he’s trying to lull you into a false sense of security.” Another quipped, “The call is coming from within the house!!!” A third viewer advised taking zero chances, writing, “I would sleep with two eyes opened,” while others could not get over how mad Teddy looked. A commenter noted, “Yeah he does look pretty mad tbf,” while another added, “I don’t trust its eyes.”

Honestly, Teddy may not be plotting anything “sinister” beyond dinner and attention — but his stare game is really strong, so it would be understandable if the owner is at least a little nervous.
