Unlike other dogs whose morning routines usually involve going for a walk, eating breakfast, and playing, this Golden Retriever’s routine is somewhat unusual. A video shared by @goldenchilidog on Instagram has been circulating around the internet. The video shows the winter routine of a dog named Chili, who can’t stop barking at rats. The clip amused viewers, and they flooded the comments section with love for the fur baby, calling him “too cute” and praising “Chili’s energy!”
Golden Retriever even does it even when it’s snowy and everything is icy
This clip shared by @goldenchilidog on Instagram shows a dog enjoying time amid nature in the winter season, and the one usual activity he does every morning has left viewers amused. The video starts with the in-text title, “Morning routine of a lake dog winter edition,” and shows the Golden Retriever cuddling with his mom on the bed, enjoying his nap.
The next shot shows him wagging his tail as his mom asks for some more cuddles, and the video shows them bonding in the morning. The fur baby then relishes his breakfast as the lady prepares a cup of coffee for herself. It’s now time for Chili to go out and have fun. The dog goes to the lakeside that’s frozen and barks at it as the owner says, “Even in the winter, he is still looking for his muskrat,” further saying, “It is here, it is not imaginary.”
The dog keeps barking, but no muskrat shows up, and he clearly looks disappointed. After barking at the lake to no avail, as he doesn’t see any muskrat, he doesn’t want to come back home. His mom asks him to come back and dry himself. After convincing him a lot, the dog finally gets back into the home and gets ready with help from his mom to go out.
However, as he still looks displeased, his owner tells him he will still find muskrat to bark at. After getting ready, they head out to a park, and while the lady is driving, she again jokingly asks, “Muskrat, where are you?” making the video even more hilarious.
