Who doesn’t love their grandparents? Well, a dog named Wally’s video proves that he definitely loves his grandma — mostly for the gifts she comes bearing. The pup’s owner posts via @wally.meets.world on Instagram, proving that no one ranks higher in the Golden Retriever’s world than his grandma. From the moment she shows up, everything is a blur of excitement and happy chaos.
Video shows dog’s chaotic reaction to meeting grandma while also being a good boy
The adorable video starts with the dog spotting his grandma through the fence, with the onscreen text reading, “Grandma’s here.” That’s all it takes for the Golden Retriever to launch into full celebration mode. He tears down the porch steps and barrels across the yard toward her, while she is standing on the other side of the fence holding two coffee cups.
Wally stands upright, paws on the fence, scratching at it like his life depends on it. She tells the dog to sit in the video, and he immediately drops into a sit, which earns him a proud “what a good boy you are” from his grandma.
Once his grandma comes through the gate, they walk up the steps together. She holds out one of the cups, and Wally goes straight for it. She laughs and says, “Oh you got a moustache already,” as he dips his face into the whipped cream. They sit together on the porch, sharing the treat. Wally licks from the cup, while his grandma admires him with a kiss on the head.
Then, they head inside, and that’s when Wally finds out she brought gifts. She hands him a bag, and the second he realizes something is inside, he runs around the room with the bag still in his mouth and his tail spinning like a fan. Finally, the video reveals he has a new stuffed animal. Wally immediately clamps onto it, and it’s obvious he’s decided it’s his new treasure.
