A video shared by @cactustherescue captures exactly this, making everyone’s hearts melt with joy. The clip shows a rescue dog named Cactus hopping onto his owner’s bed as the latter tries to sleep. Cactus sits on him, looking at his owner with pure, innocent eyes while yawning, making it clear that he is still half asleep. The owner jokingly asks if he is going to sit on him like a “weirdo,” but Cactus doesn’t budge.
He then puts his face on his paw parent’s chest and wraps his legs around him, snuggling close. The man pets him and calls him a “sweetie” as they lie in bed together. The pet parent shared in the post’s caption that the fur baby had “decided to start the night in his crate.” However, later on, he began growling and making noises in his sleep. When the man finally got into bed, the dog climbed on top of him to “invite him in for snuggles.”
