Some dogs love bedtime. And then there’s Cactus, the rescue pup who won’t sleep without a full nighttime routine complete with kisses, blankets, and personal turndown service. A new video shows the heart-melting ritual Cactus enjoys every night in his very own bedroom, and the internet can’t get enough.
Rescue puppy won’t sleep until owner tucks him in
The clip opens with Cactus already curled up in his bed, the text on screen reading: “Cactus’s nighttime routine in his own bed.” He lounges among pillows under warm lighting, waiting patiently and adorably for his dad to start the routine.
His owner walks in and gently scratches Cactus’s face, saying, “All right, let’s get you all cozy.” The pup stays perfectly still as his dad pulls the comforter up to his chest, tucking him in with the same care you’d give a toddler. The next shot shows Dad adjusting the pillows behind him, fluffing them just right so Cactus can lie comfortably on his back. When he finally presses the pillow under Cactus’s head, he whispers, “You have a good sleepies.”
Cactus blinks slowly, completely relaxed, paws resting on the blanket as if he knows he’s being treated like royalty. The video ends with Cactus tucked in neatly, his little head on the pillow, looking blissfully content. The caption explains more of his story: “Cactus has his own bedroom, and I gave him the bed from my old apartment that he slept in with me as a puppy. He still finds his way into bed with me most nights, though!”
The comments were filled with love for the spoiled and deeply cherished rescue pup. One user wrote, “Just levels of adorable.” Another added, “I love that he’s so loved and well cared for. He needs his own bedroom.” One person summed it up, “He’s a big boy with his own bedroom.”
