Some dogs love toys. Some love treats. But Blue, the 7-year-old Husky, loves one thing above everything else: Bluey. And in a delightful birthday surprise, his owner decided to make his dream come true in the most unforgettable way. The video begins with Blue standing at his bedroom window, watching TV while a text overlay reads: “My dog has been obsessed with Bluey for years…”

In this adorable video by @imbluethesiberian, a full-sized Bluey mascot walks down the staircase. Unsurprisingly, Blue freezes, his ears perk up, and his head tilts as he tries to figure out if what he’s seeing is real. When Bluey enters the living room, the Husky erupts with excitement and scrambles across the couch cushions. His tail wags as he jumps toward the mascot, hopping from the sofa to the armrest and back again, unable to contain the thrill of meeting his hero.
The mascot sits down, arms wide open, and Blue immediately climbs into the character’s lap, licking the face and nuzzling. At one point, he jumps onto the couch behind Bluey and wraps his whole body around the character’s head.
The fur baby becomes even more affectionate, pawing at Bluey, hugging him, and leaning against him as if he’s finally reunited with a long-lost friend. The final frame reads: “Happy 7th birthday, Blue!!” While the caption from his owner adds: “To our tantrum-throwing king, Blue, happy 7th birthday, we love you so so much, you’re truly one of a kind…”
Fans in the comments couldn’t get over Blue’s star-struck reaction. One user commented, “Blue is one of the first dogs I found here on IG, and I have never looked back. Happy birthday, Blue!
