Video: This Dog Is Likely the Happiest Because It Snowed, See Why

You know how some dogs just thrive in certain weather conditions? Willy here is 100% a winter dog. In the video from @kgp85, the yard is covered in fresh snow, and Willy’s already darting around like he’s been counting down to this moment. Additionally, he has that super-focused look, all ready to go, just like you see with smart working dogs like Heelers and Border Collies.

Willy looks like he’s got a mix of both in him, which probably explains why he runs on twice the excitement. The moment the first pile of snow hits the air, Willy turns into this spinning, jumping blur, and it’s impossible not to grin at it.

Dog leaps to catch snow as owner shovels it

His human captioned this video: “Willy is happy winter showed up!” and you can see it clearly in his dance. As soon as Kyle flicks the first shovel-load forward, Willy springs up like it’s his cue. He isn’t simply jumping; he’s adding full twists and showy little flips like he’s trying out for some winter talent show. Consequently, no pile of snow makes contact with the ground without Willy attempting to intercept it.

Kyle keeps shoveling in these steady, rhythmic moves, and Willy copies it like they’ve rehearsed this routine. Scoop, jump. Toss, spin. At times, it honestly looks like the two of them are performing a weirdly adorable dance number. At one point, Kyle pauses near the edge of the patio just to tease him, lifting the shovel like he might toss the snow — and Willy immediately drops into a play bow, primed and ready, eyes locked in. Moreover, he looks like he’s saying, “Go on then. I’m prepared.”

In fact, he treats every toss like a separate event, complete with its own dramatic leap. Even the fake-outs. He never checks out or slows down. Above all, he stays locked in like this is the sport he was born to play. Watching that, you truly get the feeling this dog would never quit. All day, every day.

No wonder people keep liking it; seeing a dog completely lose himself in pure joy is pretty hard to resist.
