Video Shows Dog Is in the ‘Middle of Everything’ & It’s Too Cute

Some dogs have a life philosophy that centers around being physically, emotionally, and often inconveniently, present at all times. Before the video even begins, you already get the sense that this long-eared dog has a strong presence in this household.

Posted by @billiebasset, the clip opens with her settled on the couch. She has that serene, heavy-lidded air that Bassets have — almost as if she’s clocked in for her shift as Supervisor of All Activities. Then the text pops up: “Don’t get a Basset unless…” and you can practically feel the knowing sigh from every Basset parent on the planet. The rest of the video quickly proves why.

Dog insists on being a part of everything and it’s just too adorable

With over 6.9K likes, it’s clear everyone saw their own clingy, loveable dog in Billie in the video. The answers start rolling in in the video and are wonderfully spot-on. First, we see Billie sprawling right next to a little girl’s card game, her floppy ear almost touching the cards as the text reads: “You want them in the middle of everything, always.”

Next clip: the vacuum routine. As mom cleans, Billie tracks every swipe like she’s supervising floor maintenance. Furthermore, the video shows her judgmental nature, too, as she seriously surveys the room while her mom does yoga: “You want to be judged, daily.”

Also, her complete ownership of the furniture is clear. “You want to share your bed,” the text says as Billie is seen belly-up, completely hogging the space. Viewers loved the truth of her presence, with one commenter writing, “I confirm: only facts here.”

Cuddle time appears mandatory in her household. Since we see a sweet moment where Billie and her human are tucked into a blanket nest. Then she relocates to the living room to “help” by cleaning out a snack bowl. We even get a shot of her riding shotgun on a golf cart. Then she’s digging into laundry like she’s looking for treasure, and tolerating bath and nail-trim duties with saintlike patience.

It all ends with Billie sitting sweetly in her bed, trying to catch bubbles — the softest thing ever. No wonder the comments are all love: “She’s precious,” and “Bassets are the best companions.”
