They’re sprawled out on opposite ends of a neatly made bed, surrounded by soft pillows and a powder-blue blanket, when their dad starts narrating like a man defeated.
“You guys do realize there are dogs that just live outside all the time, right? That there are working dogs. That have a job,” he says, panning from one sleepy face to the other. Neither looks remotely interested.

It begins with the camera lingering on Marge, the rescued Armenian Gampr, and then pans to Cookie as their dad says, “This is just pitiful.” Cookie is half on the pillow, half on the mattress, perfectly molded into the shape of the bed.
Every few seconds, she glances toward Marge like, “You hearing this?” Meanwhile, Marge, who has the stoic presence that could silence a room, just stares back at her dad. Unbothered. Unmoved. Side-eye sharp enough to cut through the lecture.
“Being lazy,” her dad continues, exasperated. “Sitting on the bed being lazy bums.” Marge doesn’t even blink. Cookie shifts a little but doesn’t lift her head. The final straw comes when he sighs, “Give me that side-eye, Marge,” and she promptly does. The timing is flawless.
