Video: You Won’t Believe How This Maltese Greets Guests & It’s Absolutely Adorable

You know that moment when you open your door and your dog acts like you’ve been gone for years, even if you were just out for five minutes? Heart-melting, tail-wagging chaos. Now, picture that energy multiplied by ten, mixed with a tiny Maltese who thinks “everyone exists to be her friend.” That’s Coco — a pup whose greetings are so pure and enthusiastic, even the grumpiest person can’t help but smile. And thanks to a recent video posted on Instagram, you can experience her infectious excitement firsthand.

Maltese thinks everyone ‘exists to be her friend’ and greets them in sweetest way ever

In the video, the tiny Maltese pup is seen running toward the camera as she greets an imagined visitor. Her owner filmed the clip from a first-person point of view to show what it’s like to walk through the door and be greeted by Coco. The text on the video playfully reads, “POV: you break into my house but are greeted by a dog who thinks everyone exists to be her friend.” Set to the upbeat tune “House Tour” by Sabrina Carpenter, the short clip perfectly captures Coco’s joyful personality.

Her owners, Katee Lauchner and her family, decided to document Coco’s daily adventures not long after bringing her home. They created an Instagram page for Coco and her “sister” Cici, and began sharing their moments together. Today, the duo has more than 540K followers on their account, @cocothemaltesedog, who can’t get enough of their charm.

Lauchner shared that they welcomed Coco after the loss of a previous Maltese they had for nearly 13 years. “We were devastated and couldn’t handle not having a dog in the house,” she told Bored Panda. Lauchner found Coco from a local breeder in Arizona. A few months later, the family brought home Cici so Coco would have a companion. “Coco is actually Cici’s aunt but we call them sisters in our home,” she added.
