Video: Dachshund Builds Herself a Chair To Keep a Watch on the Outside World

It’s hard keeping tabs on what’s happening outside your window when you have short legs. But that’s exactly what Plum, a determined little Dachshund, has successfully managed to do in this hilarious Instagram video. Known for being incredibly persistent and curious, these small but mighty pups always seem to find a clever way to get their way. For Plum, that meant creating her very own “throne” to make sure she never misses a moment of street action. Her “neighborhood watch” setup is so ingenious that fans can’t get enough, and her owner admits, “I can’t handle it.”

Dachshund uses couch cushions as chair to look out the window in video

The moment this video was uploaded, it became a viral hit. Countless people instantly fell in love with this dog’s sheer ingenuity. The clip shows Plum on the couch, face tilted towards the sun like a sunflower, but with a twist. She stacked all the cushions into a makeshift chair. It gives her the perfect boost to see out the window.

With her front paws resting on the back of the couch, Plum looks completely at ease. She drapes her back legs comfortably over the cushions. This shows that she knows she has cracked the code.

Her inspiration may have come from Rhubarb, her Pit Bull mix sister. Rhubarb effortlessly hops onto the couch to peek outside. Plum’s smaller size meant she had to get creative. Clearly, her invention worked.

With over 124,000 likes, it’s clear that people were amazed by Plum’s unique approach to this problem. The comments are overflowing with love. One person spoke about her breed, saying they are so nosy and “built differently.” Another comment, written from a dog’s perspective, said, “It’s all because we little doggos are smart as hell!”

Someone else called Plum a “true innovator.” From nosy to genius, Plum proves that when dogs put their minds to something, they’ll always find a way. And of course, she found her fans, too.
