Video: Husky in Ocean Water vs Bath Water Is Wildly Different

Bath time might feel like the end of the world to your furry baby, but swimming in the pool, riding waves, or romping through puddles? That’s their happy place. Documenting a similar instance, this video showed a Husky‘s wildly different reactions to ocean water versus bath water, and it will leave you doubled over with laughter. Needless to say, dogs have a complex love-hate relationship with water, and the reason behind it remains a puzzle.

Husky has completely different reactions to ocean water and bath water

If your furball always runs every time he hears the shower running but loves to play in the backyard when it’s pouring rain, then hate a seat. Chances are, your dog already thinks “bath” is just another word for betrayal and considers the tub their sworn enemy. But the moment their paws touch the sand at the beach and they see the crashing waves, they unlock their “main character” mode and find instant euphoria. It’s almost like watching a slow-motion montage with zero thoughts in their head.

This Instagram video captured a Husky’s contrasting reaction to ocean water and bath water, drawing parallels between the two. The initial clips showed the floof bravely paddling through the sandy waters. He looked like a little wanderer gazing out into the sea and taking in the beautiful moment. It then transitioned to a bathroom scene. His dog dad scrubbed the fur and sprayed the hand shower onto him. The canine, standing in one corner, howled and whimpered like a baby afraid of the splashes.

Hence, the Husky’s video proved that dogs and their love-hate relationship with water will always remain beyond human understanding. Moreover, commenters had a field day, trying to justify the pooch’s love for ocean water and fear of bath water. “Without the salt, it’s just assault,” joked one user, while another wrote, “Cuz bath water doesn’t smell like fishies.” A third individual further quipped, “One is swimming, the other is waterboarding.”
