You’d think a bear wandering into your house would be cause for panic. For one small Pomeranian, it was simply a chance to remind everyone who really runs the house. In a newly shared Instagram video, the tiny dog charges at a bear with a determined sprint and sharp barks, showing that when it comes to protecting your turf, there’s no such thing as “too small.”

Kayla Kleine posted security footage from her home to Instagram, showing the moment her tiny Pomeranian, Scout, took on a much larger opponent. In the clip, a bear is seen wandering casually into the home from the yard, walking through the living room and heading toward the kitchen. According to Kayla, the bear had already helped itself to some of Scout’s dog food before being caught on camera.
That is when Scout leapt into action. The tiny dog immediately noticed the bear and rushed toward it without hesitation, barking with full force. Startled, the bear quickly turned and bolted back through the open door, with Scout chasing after it across the yard and into the bushes.
Kayla can be seen in the footage, visibly panicked, calling after her dog. Nonetheless, Scout refused to back down until the bear was out of sight. “I was getting ready with headphones on and didn’t hear the bear,” Kayla wrote in the caption. “He was in the house for a few minutes!”
Scout’s David-and-Goliath moment had the comments section buzzing. “Put that baby on the scale and it’s gunna say ‘BIG DAWG,’ not 5lbs lmao,” one person declared, impressed by the little dog’s oversized confidence. Another praised, “Little dogs truly have the BIGGEST energy!!!!” while others couldn’t help comparing him to their own pets.
“Meanwhile my 100lbs lab would try to play with it,” one dog owner admitted, picturing a much less intimidating reaction. One commenter imagined Scout’s thoughts perfectly, saying, “There is only one animal getting treats and sleeping around here.”
